Visualizing User Routines & Persona Development
A Week In My Classmates Life
This activity involved interviewing a classmate to understand their weekly routines, responsibilities, and personal habits. By asking guided questions about family life, study patterns, work, leisure, and household tasks, I collected detailed qualitative data about how they balance their time. The user is a mother who attends school, so much of her routine involves managing academic work around childcare, household duties, and family commitments. I then organized these insights into a structured weekly timeline that visually represents her typical schedule and main activities throughout the week.
Persona Creation
This activity involves developing a user persona that represents a typical graduate student. The persona outlines their background, goals, challenges, and needs, allowing the reader to better understand the user’s perspective. By creating this persona, we ensure that our analysis and design choices remain user-focused and aligned with real-world experiences.
